Westminster Fails to Produce £150m for Games Legacy Fund |
|
Only £23.5m is to be made available towards
the Commonwealth Games legacy that is intended from 2014 to benefit "sport,
improve health, tourism, business development, regeneration and education for
generations to come". This is minus £150m that the Westminster Government
failed to cough up to make up for the Lottery cash diverted from Scotland to
London for the Olympic Games. The First Minister has promised to continue to "make
the case for the recovery" of the cash from the Westminster Government.
