We have a variety of Workshop Toolkits available, each comes
complete with easy to follow instructions. These Community Toolkits aim
to enable local people of faith to become aware of and/or become more
involved in community development. The Toolkits are made up of a number
of workshops that will cover various issues and will be used by faith
organisations to engage with the wider community.

Stories of Our Community
 |
The
aims of this workshop are to give local people the opportunity to tell
their stories about their community both negative and positive; to
highlight needs and assets in a community and at the same time show
people that their input is valued; to create a community rug which
tells the story of a community and highlights people's dreams.
|
Participation
 |
The
aim of this workshop is to explore why people of faith should
participate within their communities, identify the barriers to
participation and the steps required to overcome these barriers.
|
De-jargoning the Jargon
 |
To
demystify the current government policies and language so often used
within the field of community development and anti poverty work. To
give people understanding of the links between what is happening at
local and government level.
|
What makes your community tick, part one and two
 |
Get
to know what is available and what is not available in your community
by building a map of the area using photographs, local knowledge and
asking questions.
|
This
will to help individuals to take a focused look at their community,
share understanding and sharpen up ideas for engagement.
